Dogs constantly use energy to communicate. Energy is that what I call "existence", is who and what you are at every moment. Dogs do not know each other by name, but by the energy they project and the activities they share. Likewise known in humans.
As humans, we also communicate with energy, we realize it or not. And, even if we try to persuade, explain and rationalize all day, these energy signals are the only messages that will reach our dogs.
The first energy experiencing a puppy after birth is quiet-firm energy from his mother. Later, the puppy will by association to a pack leader to project the same quiet-firm energy. As followers of the pack, the dogs return a calm-submissive energy to complete the balance of the pack. It is important to understand that most dogs are born submissive, because there can be many pack leaders.
When a naturally submissive dog lives with a human who leads, try to correct the balance of the pack filling the gap left by the lack of a leader, according to their interpretation. This is how behavior problems begin.
To nurture you as the pack leader, you must project a calm-firm energy constantly. If you do not understand what I mean by quiet-firm energy, think of Oprah Winfrey. She is a calm and firm in the human world. This natural balance (quiet, firm leadership with calm-submissive behavior) promotes stability and creates a dog balanced, focused and happy.
